Allday is leading a new era in Hip Hop in Australia.

Having dropped out of art school to focus full time on music, Allday started up an indie band with his friends. They started practicing in his Mum’s garage and things seemed to be going great – until those same friends informed him he wasn’t really a good singer. Then, the rusty 1997 Daewoo Lanos that he had permanently borrowed from his auntie to get around Adelaide broke down with a busted radiator. It had to be a sign. Allday packed a few things in a suitcase and got on the next plane to Melbourne.

The move quickly paid dividends. Although Allday had zero money, he successfully lived off stolen sachets of microwave rice for months on end. Oh, and managed to drop multiple mixtapes, slide into triple j’s Hottest 100 with ‘So Good’, debut an EP at #1 on the AIR chart, and play a whole bunch of sold out shows and festivals around Australia.

Which brings us to 2014, where the first single from Allday’s debut album, ‘Right Now’, has found a place on the airwaves and into the hearts of many.
