Like Spiritualized being baptised in a river of Credence Clearwater, Melbourne’s masters of psychedelic folk and Laurel Canyon country Immigrant Union will be celebrating the Australian release of their second studio album Anyway with a show at The Kelvin Club in Melbourne on Saturday 13 June.

Immigrant Union
are thrilled to announce that supporting them on the night will be an exceptional array of bands. Lowtide, Crepes and Masco Sound System are rounding out the bill with Ellice and Cass from Pearls DJing throughout the night. Tickets are available here.

Immigrant Union’s Anyway
is a shift from previous recordings – moving away from the country end of the sound spectrum, they approached their second album with a desire to produce a more layered, trippier sound. To achieve this elusive warmth, the band went literally to the farthest reaches of the earth: to Brent’s hometown in Portland, Oregon and to Altona on the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia

THE JENSENS NEW SINGLE ‘A NEW HOPE’ OUT TODAY, PREMIERED BY HAPPY + ANNOUNCE MAY SHOW DATES

Since 2013, The Jensens have been making music together and fine-tuning their craft on the eclectic Brisbane live circuit. While they make the final edits to their debut release set for this year, they have today released a new jam, A New Hope, premiered by Happy.

Happy explained that The Jensens bring a refreshing change to the “bloated and confused” genre of Indie Rock, “That is until a worthy band came forth to finally do the genre justice. Behold, The Jensens give us A New Hope… it’s a cracker of a song”

Recorded & mixed by Steve Kempnich of Orphans Orphans, and mastered by Brian Lucey in Los Angeles (Black Keys, Chet Faker, The Shins), A New Hope is officially released today on ITunes and all good streaming services.

The Jensens have shared stages with the likes of Stonefield, Lurch & Chief, The Harpoons and Velociraptor, and this month they take A New Hope on the road to Elsewhere on the Gold Coast on May 15 (tickets at the door), Alhambra Lounge in Brisbane on May 16 (tickets on sale now HERE) and the Great Northern in Byron May on May 23 (tickets at the door).

Their performances across Brisbane’s bursting live music scene continue to steal the show (“…get ready to meet your new favourite band because first openers The Jensens absolutely blew the roof off”. – AAA Backstage). Playing as a five-piece, their garage-pop sound inspires a Buzzocks meets Los Saicos resonance and their uniqueness has captured the interest of the Aussie scene. Their energetic performances continue to steal the show as they take command of the stage, no matter where they play.

The Jensens bring A New Hope to Brisbane, the Gold Coast & Byron Bay this month.
