PHIL JAMIESON & SCOTT RUSSO ANNOUNCE DECEMBER ACOUSTIC TOUR

They joined forces earlier this year for two SOLD OUT shows in Sydney and Melbourne, and now the rest of Australia will get the chance to experience Phil Jamieson and Scott Russo’s live show.
The two front men will be giving fans an early Christmas present as they hit the road for their national tour this December, starting in Adelaide and making their way through Tasmania, Victoria and New South Wales.

Grinspoon front man Phil Jamieson has spent much of the past year taking to stages around the country establishing his own successful solo career after the band announced its hiatus last year.

As the lead vocalist of one of the world’s most discernible pop-punk bands, which gained traction in the early 90’s, Unwritten Law’s Scott Russo hit it off with Jamieson during the Vans Warped tour in 1999.

After jamming together in hotel rooms and tour buses over the years, the pair of rock identities developed a sound that has manifested itself into a unique, stripped-back set, which has been screaming for the presence of a live audience.

LOW FLY INCLINE RELEASE NEW VIDEO & ANNOUNCE ALBUM LAUNCHES

Low Fly Incline have released the video for their ballsy garage track, ‘Vinnie The Rune’ and it’s awesome.

The two-piece, who are the latest to sign to Melbourne’s iconic Rubber Records, recorded their debut album  ’Other Desert City’ in the depths of the Californian desert with producer (and former Kyuss   bass player) Scott Reeder. ‘Vinnie The Rune’ is the first taste of the album which drops on August 1.

FOX & FOWL RELEASE NEW VIDEO FOR ‘JUNGLE PUNCH’

The brand new video from Brisbane-via-Canberra outfit Fox & Fowl has been unleashed. 

The stop-motion clip comprising of 989 photos was brought to life using illustrations for each and every frame, a time consuming task for director Philippa Musso and illustrator Stella Evans. 

Fox & Fowl released their debut EP in April to cheerful reviews. Recorded at Airlock Studios in Brisbane by Yanto Browning (Art of Sleeping, The Medics, The Jungle Giants), the debut self-titled EP encapsulates the journey had by the band while studying in Canberra, traveling the Americas, then relocating to the Sunshine State. Each track is laced with insight into the adventures of the five country boys, and the resulting tracks are an uplifting collection of stories.

Off the back of the EP release and East Coast tours, Fox & Fowl have been awarded a grant via the The JB Seed Fund to record with acclaimed producer Steve Schram (The Cat Empire, Eagle & The Worm, Little Red).

ALLDAY DEBUTS AT #3 ON ARIA CHARTS & ANNOUNCE NATIONAL ALBUM TOUR

Allday’s incredible debut album ‘Startup Cult’ has debuted at #3 on the ARIA charts this week, only coming in behind Sia and the UK’s Ed Sheeran. To celebrate the rapper is setting off on a massive national tour presented by triple j, with special guests Remi and Baro in tow.

The album is just the second release on new label ONETWO, which is a joint venture between Unified  and Melbourne based rapper Illy. The label’s first release was Illy’s own album ‘Cinematic’, which peaked at #4 on the ARIA Charts late last year.

Low Fly Incline are a band from Melbourne, Australia.

Low Fly Incline formed in 2012 and travelled to the desert in California USA to record an album’s worth of material engineered by Scott Reeder (former bass player for Kyuss) at his home studio. Reeder also contributed bass guitar and talk-box to several songs.

Low Fly Incline consist of Tarek Smallman (T-Rek) on vocals/guitar/bass, and Mitch McGregor (Children Collide/No Zu) on drums.

ALLDAY RELEASES ‘STARTUP CULT’ AND NEW SINGLE & VIDEO

Adelaide-come-Melbourne rapper Allday has released his first full-length album “Startup Cult” today, and has already reached #2 on the iTunes chart upon release. The album is released via ONETWO and is already becoming a fan and media favourite.

Allday had this to say to his fans, “Making music may not be healing the sick or feeding the hungry, but it it makes you forget your problems for a few minutes that I’ve don’t my job. Whether you buy the CD, buy the mp3s or even torrent the album, I hope it means something to you.”

After the success of “Right Now“, the album’s second single “You Always Know The DJ” has also landed with a bang, along with a self-directed video which received over 12,000 views in under 24 hours. About the video Allday explained, “We shot it in Footscray and Brunswick. It’s starring Melbourne model Chloe Worthington. Chloe is wearing a Kenzo jumper and $10 Kmart netball skirt. I wanted the clip to be a cross between Romper Stomper & The Royal Tenenbaums”

Straight from a completely SOLD OUT 10-date national single tour, Allday will support UK diva Lily Allen on her Splendour in the Grass sideshows in Melbourne at Festival Hall on July 24, and Sydney atthe Hordern Pavilion on July 25.

JONATHAN BOULET ANNOUNCES ‘GUBBA’ ALBUM TOUR

2014 sees the awaited return of Jonathan Boulet.

After a year in Germany, Boulet is back with his third LP, GUBBA. The Grammy Award-viewing multi-flop song producer has announced an East Coast album tour, taking in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane throughout August. Tickets on sale now.

After a UK/EU tour and performances at SXSW last year, Boulet relocated from Sydney to Germany, sans band and sans plan. His “Berlin Era” was not crack-fuelled like so many others’. Rather, the Australian expat successfully managed to immolate past notions of his music amidst the right-proper snowstorms of a European winter. Without crack.
