ORPHANS ORPHANS PREMIERE VIDEO FOR ‘ORPHAN’

ORPHANS ORPHANS have released the film clip for new single ‘Orphan’ via an exclusive premiere on  FasterLouder.  The clip was filmed on the streets of Brisbane by director Michaela Holmes.

Self produced in bedrooms, hallways, garages and the occasional studio, mixed by Magoo and mastered by Leon Zervos, ‘Orphan’ is the first single from their forthcoming debut EP, which is due on Amplifire in September 2014. Listen to the track on Soundcloud HERE

Channeling elements of psych and rock, the debut offering from Orphans Orphans has been best described by this “hot off the press” quote by speakertv.com, ”It’s a thumping rock banger.”
Best you just listen, and turn it up loud

Allday has announced that he will be giving lucky fans a ride on a bus for a mobile early listening party for his new album “Startup Cult”, which will be released on July 4 via ONETWO.

The announcement was first made earlier today on triple j’s Like A Version segment, where he performed an incredible cover of the classic “Never Tear Us Apart” by INXS and a live rendition of his new single “Right Now”.

JONATHAN BOULET RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘HOLD IT DOWN’ AND ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM

2014 sees the awaited return of Jonathan Boulet.

After a year in Germany, Boulet is back with his third LP, GUBBA.

The Vine has shared a video of Jonathan Boulet talking to himself to introduce you to GUBBA.

After a UK/EU tour and performances at SXSW last year, Boulet relocated from Sydney to Germany, sans band and sans plan. His “Berlin Era” was not crack-fuelled like so many others’. Rather, the Australian expat successfully managed to immolate past notions of his music amidst the right-proper snowstorms of a European winter. Without crack.

Boulet’s debut self-titled album released in 2009 and 2012’s We Keep The Beat, Found The Sound, See The Need, Start The Heart (both on Modular) were critically praised and saw him grace the stage with the likes of Mumford & Sons, Tame Impala, Kate Nash, Tom Vek and Kindness. He also has played at every festival known to music lovers in Australia from Splendour to Vivid to Falls to Homebake.

As premiered on triple j’s Home & Hosed, ‘Hold It Down’ is the very first taste of GUBBA. It’s a grimier, ballsier more worldly Boulet.

GUBBA is entirely self-produced and bludgeons like a doom record sped up to garage-punk tempos.

GUBBA is faster, heavier and more direct than its predecessors.

GUBBA is pop music with a scummy outer layer.

GUBBA is not angry but likes to have fun. Who the f*ck is GUBBA?
