February, 2014

Tone Deaf premiered  a brand new Australian-only stream of ‘Another Way’, from Matthew & The Atlas.

Already making a decent name in the UK, this is Australia’s first taste of Matthew And The Atlas.`Another Way`, taken from the forthcoming album ‘Other Rivers’ and  features production credits by Kevin Jones (Bear’s Den) and guest vocals from Matt’s good friend Matt Corby.

The two Matt’s first met at an intimate show at Cafe Ravenous on London’s Portobello Road in 2011 and both went onto work closely with Communion.

`Other Rivers’ is to be released in April.  Expect to hear Hegarty’s familiar and extraordinary low, gravelly rumble of a voice, but filtered through a more electronic and dramatic soundscape.

Bliss out to this one here:

Elizabeth Rose premiered her new video for track ‘Sensibility’ via Acclaim Magazine this week

Filmed in Melbourne, and directed by Prad Senanayake (Aston Shuffle, Jinja Safari, Ricki Lee) the video is a clever throwback to a time where taping your favourite music clips to a VHS tape was a must. Inspired by the 90′s RnB sound reflected on Rose’s latest offering.
Due to an incredible response, Rose has added two brand new shows to her upcoming national EP tour. The tour will now take in The Factory on the Sunshine Coast on Friday 28th March and Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Saturday 5th April.
Elizabeth Rose EP, the second EP from Rose, is out now via Inertia Access. The five track release boasts huge singles ‘The Good Life’ and latest offering ‘Sensibility’. In support of the EP’s recent release, the run of national dates will kick off Saturday 1st March in Sydney and wrapping up Saturday 12th April, taking in East and West Coast cities and regional centres. Canberra’s SAFIA and Sydney duo Fishing will join her on selected dates.
SAFIA have also had a massive 2013, Number #76 in the triple j Hottest 100 and nominated for a triple j Unearthed Award. Their incredible debut single ‘Listen To Soul, Listen To Blues’ reached the Top 100 on the electronic singles charts and reached over 100k hits on Soundcloud.
Beat-making rhyme-spitting Blue Mountains duo Fishing are soon to announce details of their debut album release and will treat crowds to a sneak peek at their new tunes on the Elizabeth Rose tour.
